Another Monday, Another Fit! For this throwback, I combined two looks from December, the second one being on Christmas Day.
Sidebar: I don’t know about you, but I feel like the older I get, the less exciting Christmas is for me and my family. When I was younger, in America, my young, aloof mind wandered to realms far beyond my reach. Expectations were quiet high, and everything seemed so magical. I was entranced by the Christmas movies shown on Disney channel, ABC Family (freeform), Hallmark, and Lifetime, and so I wished for a Christmas just as festive! This wish is why I would be the only one to put up the Christmas tree every year, decorate the house with Christmas lights and ornaments, and as any good little kid would, leave out cookies and milk for Santa (even though by then, I knew that man was not real).. except I would end up eating the cookies and pouring out the milk (I’m NOT a fan of the whole cookies & milk thing). Anyways, now all I really look forward to for Christmas is singing at the church service.
I also think America is to blame for it. Christmas in Nigeria is hands, feet, head, everything down the BEST thing ever! From the songs, to the gatherings, to the church service, to the food.. Man! Nothing can honestly compare! Nigeria, the Motherland, makes Christmas in America look like a treacherous bore. It’s actually crazy!
Anyways.. before I get too sidetracked (I could talk about Christmas in Nigeria for AGES!.. Here are my two fits, and I’ll see you in the next post! Don’t forget to like, comment, & subscribe!
Happy Wednesday! By today you’re either thinking, “Wow! This week is zooming by!” or “It’s only Wednesday? Ugh.. I thought it was Friday already..” Me? I’m more of the second one lol. Anyways, as promised, I’m back with another look from this winter.
Fun fact: I wore this fit in late December, but the weather was in the 60ºs, so I consider it a fall look. This was on the day that we had a Cast & Crew dinner at McCarter, between one of two performances, during which we exchanged our Secret Santa gifts and revealed whose Secret Santa we were! (This was my first time ever playing Secret Santa.. so it was more of a learning experience lol). But one thing is for sure: I will definitely force my family to play it next Christmas! If any of my siblings are reading this, note that!

First and foremost, I just want to express how grateful I am for the recognition that I’ve been receiving, both on my Instagram: @Naijaqueen_faith and here on WordPress! I took up blogging as a personal project, an outlet! This is my personal platform; there are no grades, no excess expectations (except for those that I set for myself), and especially, no one trying to tell me what to do or how I should do it… I get enough of that in school and in LIFE! My fashion is my voice, and this is me embracing and sharing it with you all.. and when I have something pressing on my mind, I can easily come on here, write about it, and hope for some input. That being said, I just want to say thank you to those who see something in my blog and have subscribed!
Anywho, recently I went through some of my pictures, and found that I have a lot of hidden pictures. You know how sometimes you take 1,000 pictures, but end up being disappointed by 99.9% of them? But you save some of them.. why? Maybe you see a teeny bit of potential in them.. or you’re simply too lazy to delete them all.. or you save it for your future self to look back on and think, “Wow I’ve really come a long way!” That last part might just be a me thing lol. Well, here are some looks that I have from this winter. This will most likely come in 4 parts: Two winter throwbacks, one fall, and one summer.
Ps. Most of these are new to my blog, but old to my Instagram.. Enjoy, & I’ll catch you in the next one!
